Online or offline community activities
– Overview –
Extended from the research topic about social media use, this line of research takes a focus on how users build and sustain both online and offline communities through the use of technology. I examine how social media platforms and mobile technologies can be leveraged to create and maintain communities based on shared interests, goals, or needs. By investigating the design and use of technologies to support community building, I aim to better understand how to facilitate more meaningful and impactful social interactions in both virtual and physical spaces.
